Desktop updates

Kubepier Desktop looks for new versions on its own. On Windows and Linux, it downloads and installs them; on macOS, it lets you know.

Windows and Linux (.deb)

  • About 30 seconds after launch, and then every 12 hours, the app checks kubepier.com.br/atualizacao/ for a new version and downloads it in the background.
  • Once done, the "Kubepier update ready" notification shows. Click it to restart and install; if you do not, it installs when you quit the app.
  • If automatic updates fail to start, the app falls back to the new-version notice, as on macOS.

macOS

  • The app does not update itself on macOS. About 30 seconds after launch, and every 12 hours, it reads the published version and, if there is a newer one, shows the "New Kubepier version" notification.
  • Click the notification to open the install page, download the .dmg for your Mac (Apple Silicon or Intel) and replace the app in the Applications folder.

Which version is current

The install page shows the published version, read from the same file the app checks. What changed in each version is on the What’s new page.

What is sent

The check only asks for the published version file; it carries no cluster or account data.
