Presentation mode

Presentation mode lets you record your Kubernetes screen on video, teach a class or share your screen in a meeting without exposing data or showing whose clusters they are. One click on the status bar blurs what identifies the client.

Turn it on and off

Click Presentation, on the status bar, bottom right. While it is on, the label reads Presentation on. Click again to turn it off.

What gets blurred

  • The cluster and the client in the sidebar.
  • The name, namespace, node and IP columns of every list.
  • The details drawer title and the name and namespace in the object metadata.
  • The bottom panel tab titles.
  • In the Kubepier panels, container, queue, endpoint and ConfigMap names, and in the client service menus, queue, entity and key names.

What stays readable

Resource kinds, statuses, counts and environment variable names. So a recording still shows what is connected and what is failing.

Applies to every window

It is a synced preference: it turns on in the main window and in every open cluster at once, and stays as it was when you reopen the app.

Before you record your screen

The mode blurs the Kubepier interface. Terminals, YAML open in the editor, logs, message bodies and key values show their content as it is: check what is on screen before sharing.
